The valve is a snug push fit into the discharge of the pump
What is the purpose of this fitting
When the pumped liquid passes the valve and the pump stops the liquided stays discharged preventing the return of all the liquid pumped that is left in the dischage. This also prevents the repated starting/stoping and the backflow of the liquid.
UK Mainland Delivery is normally by next working day courier if order is placed before 1.30pm. ie despatched on Monday for Tuesday delivery. If placed after 1.30pm then the goods will be despatched the next working day. ie Monday for Wednesday delivery. Highlands and offshore deliveries differ.
